Mexican-American War

1835 – 1848

The Mexican-American War was a conflict between the United States and Mexico. One of its most famous battles was the Battle of the Alamo, where a small group of Texans fought against a much larger Mexican army. Although the Texans were defeated, their courage inspired others to join the fight. The war eventually led to the United States gaining large territories in the West, shaping the future of both nations.
