1763 – 1913
Between 1763 and 1913, Canada underwent significant transformations. Starting as British colonies, the region saw growth through trade, immigration, and the development of settlements. The confederation of 1867 united several provinces into a single nation, leading to rapid expansion westward. This period also included important interactions with Indigenous peoples, the construction of the transcontinental railway, and the establishment of Canada’s identity as an independent country.
