The Qin Dynasty was a pivotal period in Chinese history, known for unifying China under a centralized government for the first time. Founded by Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China, the dynasty is famous for major achievements such as the construction of the Great Wall and the creation of the Terracotta Army. Qin Shi Huang’s rule centralized power, standardized weights and measures, and introduced uniform writing. Despite its short duration, the Qin Dynasty laid the foundations for future Chinese empires and significantly shaped China’s political and cultural landscape.
