Resistance

1930 – 1945

During World War II, many brave individuals and groups across Europe resisted Nazi occupation and oppression. Resistance took many forms, including sabotage, espionage, underground newspapers, and armed uprisings. Notable efforts included the French Resistance and efforts by and for Jewish people to evade Nazi capture. These resistance movements played a crucial role in undermining Nazi control and aiding the Allied war effort, often at great personal risk.
